Thrift Fashion Challenge - October 22

Thank you for your interest in Burton Photography's Thrift Fashion Challenge. Please follow @burtonphotographyseniors on Instagram so that you can stay up to date with posts about the contest.

Seniors will have priority for registration through September 9. Any remaining spaces are open for Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen. SPACES ARE LIMITED. Sign up early to avoid disappointment.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Watauga High School Student Council.

Winners will be announced on November 5 and prizes will be awarded!

Your outfit can be something you would wear to school, out to a party, when you are trying to "fit in" or when you are trying to "stand out".

Contest Rules:

1) Shop for your outfit between September 29-October 15.

2) The entry fee is $30. After you register for your photo shoot time, you'll receive an invoice by email that you can pay online.

3) You have a $30 spending limit (you don't have to include tax in your total). 

4) You are permitted to include ONE article of clothing OR a pair of shoes in your outfit that you did not purchase for this challenge.

5) Alterations/modifications to any purchased garment are allowed.

6) Your outfit will be judged by taking into consideration these criteria: creativity, color harmony, use of accessories, impact attention-getting, and thriftiness. Judges will be various professionals outside of the High Country Community - so they won't personally know any of the participants.

Arrive at the time you signed up for your mini fashion shoot in your Thrift Store ensemble. (October 13 or 15). We'll meet you at the parking deck on Rivers St. (461 Rivers St, Boone, NC 28607) Come to the third level. There is no charge for parking for less than an hour, after 5 pm on a weekday and on weekends.
